  • 2010. 07. 08Acquired the right to operate Uljin Civil Aviation Training Center

2000’s

  • 2008. 03. 28Expanded business scope into manufacturing and sale of R&D equipment and overseas airport business
  • 2007. 10. 28Began Gimpo-Hongqiao flight service
  • 2007. 10. 23Acquired the right to operate Muan International Airport
  • 2005. 12. 21Opened Service Academy
  • 2004. 08. 30Acquired ISO 9001 Service Quality System Certificate
  • 2003. 11. 30Began Gimpo-Haneda flight service
  • 2002. 04. 03Acquired the right to operate Yangyang International Airport
  • 2002. 03. 02Renamed as Korea Airports Corporation (KAC)

  • 1999. 01. 15Acquired the right to operate 8 VOR/TACs (including Yangyang VOR/TAC)
  • 1997. 01. 15Acquired the right to operate Cheongju and Wonju Airports
  • 1994. 12. 13Opened Air Route Traffic Control Center
  • 1991. 12. 14Renamed as Korea Airports Authority
  • 1990. 06. 28Acquired the right to operate 9 domestic airports including Daegu Airport
  • 1990. 04. 07Renamed as Korea International Airport Authority

1980’s

  • 1985. 09. 06Acquired the right to operate Jeju International Airport (Jeju Island)
  • 1984. 06. 01Opened Civil Aviation Training Center
  • 1983. 05. 09Acquired the right to operate Gimhae International Airport
  • 1980. 07. 01Acquired the right to operate Gimpo International Airport
  • 1980. 05. 30Founded International Airport Authority
